Livestock Trader Online is a secure classified advertisement platform connecting members to buy, sell, and trade nearly any type of livestock across Australia. While we facilitate the listing and discovery of livestock, the actual sale contract is negotiated directly between the buyer and seller. Unlike traditional livestock agents or brokers, Livestock Trader Online does not hold stock or charge commissions, booking fees, stockyard fees, or finder’s fees. Instead, we provide buyers with a searchable, easy-to-compare database of livestock and offer sellers a dedicated platform to advertise their stock.
1.1. The content available on Livestock Trader Online, and any associated platforms, is provided solely for general informational purposes.
1.2. Any guidance provided on our website, including pricing, transport, and listing information, is for informational purposes only. While we may assist in facilitating communication and dispute resolution, Livestock Trader Online does not control or guarantee the following: The existence, quality, safety, or legality of advertised items. The accuracy or truthfulness of user-generated content or listings. The seller’s ability to sell items. The buyer’s ability to pay for items. The completion of a transaction between buyer and seller. Livestock Trader Online serves as a platform and does not assume responsibility for the outcomes of user interactions.
1.3. While Livestock Trader Online strives to ensure the content on its platform is accurate, up-to-date, and free from errors, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the information provided. This includes content on our website, any linked websites, or information obtained through the use of our platform. It is your responsibility to evaluate the accuracy and reliability of any content you access, and you do so at your own risk. 1.4. Livestock Trader Online reserves the right to monitor all online activity and messaging data including, but not limited to: file uploads; images; descriptions; accreditations and certifications. 1.5. You agree to indemnify Livestock Trader Online, including its representatives, employees, and agents, against any liability, loss, claim, or demand arising from any breach of these terms and conditions by you or your representatives, employees, or agents. This includes covering any loss, damage, or costs incurred as a result of such a breach.2.1. By accessing Livestock Trader Online, you agree to these Terms of Use. Any violation or refusal to accept these terms will result in unauthorised access.
2.2. Use of Livestock Trader Online and its content is prohibited without prior written approval from Livestock Trader Online. This includes, but is not limited to: Modifying, copying, distributing, transmitting, displaying, reproducing, publishing, or licensing any content. Using or attempting to use content to create websites, publications, or searchable databases. Mirroring or framing any part of the website or its pages. Employing automated processes to query, access, retrieve, scrape, data-mine, or copy content, or to generate or compile documents, indexes, or databases from it. Transferring or selling any information, functionality, products, or services offered on the platform. Taking any actions that violate these Terms of Use. All use must comply strictly with these terms.
2.3.You acknowledge and agree that you have the opportunity to seek independent legal and financial advice from qualified professionals and should consider your personal objectives, financial situation, and needs before buying or selling on Livestock Trader Online.
2.4. If Livestock Trader Online, at its sole discretion, determines that you or any related party (including agents, representatives, contractors, or associates) have violated these Terms of Use or acted against its interests, it may immediately suspend or terminate your access to the platform. Livestock Trader Online also reserves the right to take any necessary or appropriate action to prevent further violations or access.
2.5. If Livestock Trader Online determines that you are misusing the platform in any way, we reserve the right, at our sole discretion and without limiting other remedies, to take actions such as limiting, suspending, or terminating your account(s) and access to the platform, delaying or removing hosted content, or revoking any special status associated with your account(s).
2.6. Livestock Trader Online makes no guarantees regarding the completeness or accuracy of classified information, nor that access to the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, virus-free, or continuously available. We are not liable for any direct or indirect loss, damage, or expense, regardless of how it arises.
2.7. Livestock Trader Online reserves the right to terminate access for a buyer or seller if we receive a request or notification from a third party, including regulatory bodies, requiring us to do so and to remove their content from the platform.
2.8. We may cancel unconfirmed accounts or accounts that have been inactive for an extended period. Furthermore, we reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse, modify, suspend, cancel, or terminate all or part of our services for any reason.
2.9. When using or accessing Livestock Trader Online, you agree not to: Post, list, message, or upload content in inappropriate categories, or share false accreditation, certification, or identification. Circumvent laws, regulations, third-party rights, or Livestock Trader Online’s policies and account status. Use the platform if under 18, unable to form legally binding contracts, or suspended from Livestock Trader Online. Fail to pay for purchased items or deliver items you’ve sold. Manipulate prices, interfere with other users' listings, or post false, misleading, defamatory, or libelous content. Send spam, unsolicited communications, or pyramid schemes, or distribute viruses or harmful technologies. Use automated tools (e.g., bots, scrapers) to access the platform without prior written permission. Interfere with site operations or impose an unreasonable load on infrastructure. Infringe intellectual property rights, including reproducing, distributing, reverse engineering, or creating derivative works. Harvest user information or collect personally identifiable information without consent. Tamper with non-public areas, security measures, or technical systems, or test for vulnerabilities. Impersonate others, misrepresent your identity, use unauthorized credentials, or hide your IP address. Use Livestock Trader Online’s name, logo, or trademarks without express written consent, including in hidden text or metadata. Encourage, assist, or allow others to violate these Terms of Use. Livestock Trader Online reserves the right to take action against any violations of these terms.
5.1. You are responsible for providing accurate and relevant information in relation to any livestock you are listing on Livestock Trader Online including, but not limited to, accreditations, documentations or certifications including: health; reproductive status; treatment history; genetics; embryos; environmental; organic; geographical; disease and biosecurity status; identification; marking and tagging; ownership and branding, movement records; weight; age; breed; teeth and commodity type, or any other information you provide. In addition you are also responsible for providing accurate information that may be boosted via promotion or any other means to any other platform associated to Livestock Trader Online.
5.2. You provide necessary consents for Livestock Trader Online to store and use information you enter on Livestock Trader Online. 5.3. Livestock Trader Online is not responsible for inaccurate information which is interact-able, boosted, shared, tagged, linked, liked, followed or any other form of promotion. This means you are responsible for the legality, accuracy, appropriateness, originality, and copyright of any such content you submit. We recommend you undertake industry best practice due dilligence checks when selling livestock. You are responsible to ensure that all legal requirements have been complied with with in the actual transaction. 5.4. According to Australian Consumer Law items for sale must: match description made by seller; match description search for; be fit for the purpose described before purchasing; come with full title and ownership; not carry any hidden debts or extra charges; meet any extra promises made about performance, condition and quality. 5.5.The Seller indemnifies Livestock Trader Online against all losses, costs, expenses and legal documentation required to sell livestock and advertise their sale online.6.1. Due Diligence: Buyers are responsible for conducting all necessary searches, inquiries, and investigations regarding seller claims. Perform standard due diligence checks when purchasing or trading livestock.
6.2. Livestock Trader Online strongly recommends that you confirm with the seller that all information in relation to their stock is accurate and true and able to meet your expectations. Information to confirm may include, but is not limited to, accreditations, documentations or certifications including: health; reproductive status; treatment history; genetics; embryos; environmental; organic; geographical; disease and biosecurity status; identification; marking and tagging; ownership; branding; movement records; weight; age; breed; teeth and commodity type, or any other information you rely on in informing your purchasing decision.
6.3. Whilst Livestock Trader Online requests sellers confirm this information, it may be possible for information to be inaccurate. Livestock Trader Online is not responsible or liable for the accuracy of information submitted by the seller. It is your responsibility to ensure all legal requirements have been complied with with the actual transaction.
6.4 Protecting your online shopping rights. Before you start, ensure your computer, tablet or phone is secure by installing or updating security and anti-virus software. Beware of sellers asking for your bank PIN or password. Never buy from these sellers. Keep copies of all documents, including item descriptions, emails and receipts in case there is a problem later. If there is a problem, email the seller outlining the issue and how you want it resolved.
6.5. Australian Consumer Law states you are not entitled to claim against a seller where the failure to meet a consumer guarantee is due to: something someone else said or did, unless it was their agent or employee; an event that was beyond the seller’s control (for example bad weather or delays in delivery); simply change your mind, decide you do not like your purchase or have no use for it; damage or use goods in an unreasonable or unintended manner; discover you can buy the goods or services more cheaply elsewhere; examined the goods before buying and ought to have seen any obvious fault; had a defect drawn to your attention before buying; are unhappy with a service that you insisted on having carried out in a particular way; did not make clear what service you wanted and what you wanted it to achieve; did not rely upon, or unreasonably relied upon, the seller’s skill or judgment when choosing a product or service.
6.6. The consumer guarantee applies every time you buy goods and services. When you buy goods, the seller guarantees that: goods will be of acceptable quality; goods will be fit for a particular purpose; goods will match their description; goods will match the sample or demonstration model; they will honour any express warranties; you have title to the goods; you have undisturbed possession of the goods; there are no undisclosed securities on the goods.
